As the community continues to mourn a fallen officer, a new effort aims to preserve his legacy and support his loved ones. In the wake of Beech Grove Officer Brian Elliott’s death, the Central Indiana Police Foundation announced the launch of an online memorial merchandise store in collaboration with the Beech Grove Police Department.
“Part of the real importance is this merchandise, when people wear it, and others who knew Elliott see it, it helps keep his memory alive,” The foundation’s executive director, Lisa Rollings, told IndyStar. “Not only does it show support, but people are not forgetting his sacrifice.”
Elliott was shot and killed in the line of duty on Feb. 16, 2026, while responding to a domestic disturbance call at an apartment complex. He attempted to kick down a door to a unit after hearing a woman screaming inside, according to court documents, which said a man shot him through the door.
A news release about the store’s announcement said the foundation “is committed to ensuring that Officer Elliott’s legacy of service is never forgotten and that his family continues to feel the strength and support of the community he served.”
Featuring t-shirts, long sleeves, crewnecks, hoodies and hats, money from sales will go directly to Elliott’s wife, Erin, and his family, according to Rollings.
