Brayden Marcum, Cascade

Marcum finished seventh in the small-schools final at HSR with a season’s best 13-3 vault (ranked 22nd in the state this season). The Cascade senior placed second at the Red Devil Classic HSR Qualifier, third at the Warren Central HSR Qualifier and fifth at Indiana State Last Chance.

Randall Glenn, Lawrence North

Glenn’s vault of 14-0 at the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference Indoor Championships on March 20 is the 13th-best in the state. Glenn finished first and went on to claim 13th place at HSR eight days later. The Lawrence North junior placed second at both Warren Central qualifiers. Glenn, who finished second at sectional last season, is aiming for a state appearance this season.

Bennett Allen, Avon

The Avon senior finished fifth at Brownsburg Bulldog Last Chance on March 21, four days after placing third at the Fall Creek Pavilion HSR Qualifier. Allen captured first place at the Hoosiers Crossroads Conference Indoor on March 11 and second at the Red Devil Rumble HSR Qualifier on March 14. Allen finished fourth at sectional last season with a personal-best vault of 13-6.

Dean Watson, Carmel

The Carmel senior placed fourth at sectional last season, but Watson didn’t qualify for state after a ninth-place finish at regional. Watson finished fourth at the IWU/Marion HSR Qualifier No. 2 and third at the third IWU/Marion qualifying meet. He placed at the Fall Creek Pavilion HSR Qualifier on March 17 and sixth at Last Chance on March 21.

Austin Scheerer, Westfield

Scheerer holds the 27th-best vault in the state at 13-0, which he posted in a fourth-place finish at the Fall Creek Pavilion HSR Qualifier. The Westfield senior placed second at the IWU/Marion HSR Qualifier No. 3 on March 14.
