Here's how to dispose of your Christmas tree in Evansville

EVANSVILLE — Residents looking for an easy way to dispose of their Christmas tree can plan to take it out with the trash starting Monday.

Evansville Water and Sewer Utility residential customers can sit out their tree next to their trash cart on their regular pickup day for disposal.

Republic Services will take care of the tree from there.

After Jan. 9, Republic will still dispose of the tree, but residents should place it inside the trash cart, not on the ground.
