Henderson water main break has some without water, lane closed

The Henderson, Kentucky water utility reported Wednesday morning it is in the midst of repairing a water main break along the southbound lane of the U.S. 41 strip, near the former Grandy’s restaurant.

“Customers on the southbound side of the highway between Arby’s and Taco John’s (including those businesses) will be without water until the repair is complete,” a news release from the City of Henderson read. “Once complete, a boil water advisory will be issued for those customers.”Work began at 9 a.m. Wednesday and is expected to last four to six hours, or as late as 3 p.m.For safety reasons, the City of Henderson said the curbside southbound lane will remain closed between the McDonald’s and Parkway Drive while the work goes on.Questions can be addressed to HWU at 270-826-2824.
