Former Indianapolis Colts’ general manager Ryan Grigson has found a new role.
According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, Grigson is returning to the Browns as senior football advisor to GM Andrew Berry.
Grigson was previously with the Browns in 2017 as a senior personnel executive and then again from 2020 to 2021 as a senior football advisor.
With the Colts, Grigson held the title of GM from 2012 through 2016. During his tenure, the Colts had a 49-31 record, which included three consecutive 11-win seasons.
However, the Colts would miss the playoffs with 8-8 records in 2015 and 2016. The team totaled three playoff wins under Grigson, making it as far as the AFC Championship game in 2014.
Prior to joining the Browns, Grigson had been in Minnesota since 2022, working under then-GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, which included holding the assistant GM title in 2025.
After the Vikings moved on from Adofo-Mensah earlier this offseason, Grigson retained the assistant GM title, but with the hiring of Nolan Teasley as the team’s new GM, Grigson had the opportunity to move into a new role, according to Vikings on SI, but chose to head to Cleveland.
