That makes it the second most-watched College Football Playoff championship game, and the most-watched college football game since the 2014-15 season.

ESPN also reported the title game was most-watched non-NFL broadcast since Game 7 of 2016 World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland.

Chris Fowler called ESPN’s primary broadcast, with Kirk Herbstreit (analysis), and Holly Rowe and Molly McGrath (sideline reporting). ESPN2 had a “Field Pass” broadcast led by Pat McAfee. ESPNU had a “Skycast” and ESPN News a “Command Center” broadcast.
