Elite edge reclassifies to 2027 class, Notre Dame as top contender

It becoming much more common for high school stars to move up a class to start their collegiate career, and Notre Dame could once again be on the winning end of one of those moves.

The Irish saw quarterback Teddy Jarrard make the move from the 2027 cycle, to this past one, and on Monday on of its top targets will now be part of the 2027 class. New Jersey edge rusher Jackson Vaughn, made the move to get to college early, and the Irish are high on his list.

It was a dual announcement that Hayes Fawcett shared on social media, as the 6-foot, 4-inch and 225-pound pass rusher also share his top-9 schools, with Notre Dame being one of them. Vaughn is now ranked as the No. 202 overall player in his new class, but remember, he’s a year younger than almost everyone else.

The talent is there, and Vaughn would be a great addition to the Notre Dame 2027 class.
