Ahead of Monday night’s Indianapolis 500 Victory Celebration Dinner, Dreyer & Reinbold Racing driver Conor Daly is looking to retrieve a suit for the event. Daly posted to X on Monday morning that he dropped his suit off at Tide Cleaners in downtown Indianapolis, but the facility is closed for Memorial Day.
“I forgot to get my suit for the banquet tonight,” posted Daly, who finished 12th in Sunday’s Indy 500. “Kinda need to get it somehow and they’re closed today. Help would be much appreciated. Also, hand up, my bad, I know.”
Daly claimed to have only one suit, which he needs for the banquet that has a recommended dress code of black tie/cocktail attire.
Forty-one minutes later, Mike Shuel, who owns that Tide Cleaners location, replied to Daly’s post to come to the rescue.
“Conor I am an owner of Tide Cleaners here in Indianapolis,” Shuel replied. “I am assembling my team to get this for you! #avengersassemble.”
Daly replied to his post, saying, “Problem solved, thanks internet” less than an hour after his original post. He will be able to wear his suit Monday night for the event, which begins at 5 p.m. (And perhaps buy another one with his 12th-place prize money.)
