In a game where the Indianapolis Colts’ offense stalled down the stretch, their defense created the highlight plays; defensive end Laiatu Latu was involved in the big ones.
On Kansas City’s first passing attempt of the game, Latu tipped and intercepted quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ pass, and set up the Colts’ first touchdown of the game.

Quarterback Daniel Jones found wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. for a six-yard touchdown catch to take a 7-0 lead.
The Colts won the turnover battle thanks to Latu, Zaire Franklin, and Charvarius Ward. Latu tallied the first turnover of the game, while Franklin forced a fumble in the fourth quarter, which Ward recovered.
Then, late in the game, as the Chiefs had an opportunity to win the game in regulation, Latu broke into the backfield with Swity Paye to sack Mahomes, and for Kansas City to kick a field goal to send the game to overtime.
Latu finished the game with six tackles, a sack, a pass deflection, an interception, and two quarterback hits, and is the Colts’ Week 12 Player of the Game.
