According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Colts are signing former fourth-round draft pick and free agent wide receiver Tyler Scott.

Scott was taken in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL draft by the Chicago Bears. In his first two NFL seasons, he’s caught 18-of-32 targets for 173 yards. He had just one target in 2024.

Along with his contributions on offense, Scott also has return experience, handling 13 kick return attempts in his career, averaging 24.2 yards per attempt, per PFF.

Scott has also contributed on other phases of the special teams unit, which could be of value to the Colts this season.

On Wednesday, the Colts announced 14 additions to their practice squad. So the addition of Scott will put them at 15.

With Maximilian Mang exempt as the designated International Pathway Player, the Colts can roster 17 on the practice squad, which means they still have two spots open.
