INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts have added a veteran backup quarterback among a trio of roster moves, bringing in Easton Stick as the team’s fourth arm.
The move also gives Indianapolis an extra backup option in the event that the team finds a trade partner for Anthony Richardson, the former starter who is now competing for the backup with Riley Leonard under an active trade request.
Stick, a fifth-round pick by the Chargers in 2019, spent six seasons in Los Angeles before shifting to Atlanta last season. A 30-year-old now, Stick has four career starts, all coming in 2023. Stick has completed 64% of his passes in the NFL, averaging 6.5 yards per attempt.
Indianapolis released veteran Seth Henigan to make the move for Stick.
The Colts also shuffled two other spots. Indianapolis signed undrafted free agent center Josh Kreutz and undrafted cornerback Jai’Onte’ McMillan, waiving cornerback Wyatt Ekeler and guard Ladarius Henderson in order to make room.
Kreutz is the son of Bears legend Olin Kreutz, a six-time Pro Bowler who has trained several Indianapolis offensive linemen over the years, and McMillan is a former college teammate of current Colts cornerback Justin Walley.
