It is still a bit chilly in Indianapolis, but a freeze warning issued by the National Weather Service is expiring at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7.
While it isn’t expected to warm up a huge amount today, with the temperature high only getting to 49, NWS Indianapolis expects it to slowly warm up as the week continues.
“Cool temperatures will continue through Wednesday morning before a warming trend begins,” NWS Indianapolis said in a post shared to X. “Temperatures by Thursday will be back into the 70s, though a low chance for a shower or storm will be possible north.”

Friday, April 10: Scattered showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 73. South southwest wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Friday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. West northwest wind around 6 mph becoming north northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Saturday, April 11: A 10% chance of showers before 8 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 68. East wind around 6 mph.
