Bloomington police are seeking information about shots fired on the evening of Tuesday, June 23, on Bloomington’s north side.
Multiple 911 calls were received by the Monroe County Central Emergency Dispatch Center at about 7:41 p.m. , according to a news release from Bloomington Police Department. Callers reported a person had fired a weapon multiple times with rounds hitting a white GMC SUV before they fled the area in the 1000 block of North Summit Street.
Officers and detectives responded and determined a known male suspect fired seven to eight rounds in the SUV after a verbal altercation with the driver of the vehicle. At the time of the shooting, there were three adults and four children in the SUV.
No injuries were reported, the release said.
Police detectives are interviewing witnesses and reviewing available surveillance footage as the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact Detective Kevin Frank at 812-349-3322.
