In a slight change to its original plans for the southeast corner of the Keystone Fashion Mall, Simon Property Group has announced that the already in-progress project to redevelop the former home of Saks Fifth Avenue will yield three additional stores and two new restaurants.
Simon in June 2024 announced plans to demolish most of the Saks store at 8702 Keystone Crossing Blvd., which was planning to end its 21-year run in Indianapolis that summer.
The upmarket department store will be replaced by a mixed-use development that includes an expansive communal green space and the construction of a new 100,000-square-foot office building called One Keystone Crossing. Simon announced on May 13 that a portion of the planned office space will house the five following businesses:
“Through a curated mix of luxury retail, elevated dining, and inviting outdoor spaces, we are designing an experience that brings the community together and establishes The Fashion Mall at Keystone as the premier gathering place for Indianapolis,” Simon President of Development Mark Silvestri said in a news release.
Per the news release, the new stores and restaurants will start opening in phases in late 2027, with more to come in 2028.
