The weekend brings Steve-O: The Crash and Burn Tour and Stephenson County Fair activities, along with fundraisers, live music and more to the Freeport area.
Hoo Haven Wildlife Exhibit
What: See an educational wildlife experience for all ages. Get up close with reptiles and even touch some of them. Meet birds of prey as they make their way through the aisles, giving everyone an opportunity to see these animals up close. The presenters from Hoo Haven love questions and are passionate about sharing their knowledge. Learn about wildlife, nature and simple ways we can all help protect Mother Earth and the environment.

A Rockford Evening with Hollywood
What: VIP guests kick off the evening at 5 p.m. with an exclusive autograph and photo opportunity with AAGPBL players and cast members from “A League of Their Own.” See Bitty Schram (Evelyn Gardner) and Justin Scheller (Stilwell Angel) as they reunite for the first time in 10 years to recreate one of the film’s most iconic scenes. The program begins with a special welcome, then there will be a live movie theory discussion featuring the players and cast, sharing behind-the-scenes stories from the iconic film and celebrating the enduring legacy of women’s baseball.

Concerts on the Square: Miles Nielsen
What: Rockford-IL-based Miles Nielsen & The Rusted Hearts will perform for Main Street Monroe Concerts on the Square. Miles Nielsen has spent nearly a decade enthralling audiences with music that draws force from the prime years of Western-influenced rock music and classic ‘60s soul.
When: 6:30 p.m. July 24

Glow Bingo
What: Enjoy an all-ages glow bingo at dusk in the community entertainment tent. There is no cost, but there are lots of prizes to win.

Goats & Beats Silent Disco
What: Grab a pair of headphones, pick your music channel and dance alongside some very curious goats at the Stephenson County Fair. This one-of-a-kind silent disco lets you choose the vibe, while everyone else might be dancing to something completely different. Expect laughs, music and plenty of goat entertainment. There will be multiple music channels and wireless headphones provided.

Richrath Project REO
What: Richrath Project REO will be playing the music of REO Speedwagon.

Corn Boil
What: Enjoy an annual corn boil with boiled sweet corn dipped in melted butter. You will have a choice of a brat or hot dog along with chips and dessert. Refreshments will be served with the meal. Enter through the main entrance to the church. You will also receive seconds on corn while supplies last. There will also be live entertainment, inflatables, a barrel train and face painting.

Demolition Derby
What: Robbo’s Demolition Derby presents Kid’s Power Wheels to youth classes, compacts, mini vans, trucks, and full-size derby action.

Steve-O: the Crash & Burn Tour
What: From “Jackass” legend to bestselling author and stand-up sensation, Steve-O (Stephen Glover) has spent more than two decades shocking, entertaining and making fans laugh out loud. Steve-O has been sober since 2008 and his career has endured, proving you can be fearless, funny and sober, all at once. This is a general admission event and guests must be 21 or older to attend. A valid photo ID is required. The Crash & Burn Tour is a one-of-a-kind comedy show packed with wildly inappropriate humor and jaw-dropping true stories, with exclusive never-before-seen footage.

Winslow Car Show
What: There will be prizes for best in show. A brat stand and Bobbers will be open all day with live music.

Dakota YMCA bake sale
What: Shop for homemade baked goods and fresh lemonade. There will also be hair tinsel and a car wash. Free will donations are appreciated. Every dollar raised goes directly back to the Dakota YMCA program to help buy toys, games, craft supplies and equipment for campers.

Library Field Day
