ROCKFORD, IL — Domingos En El Parque returns this summer, bringing live Latin music, food, and community celebration to Levings Unity Pavilion in Levings Park and the Sinnissippi Park Music Shell in Sinnissippi Park.
Shows are free and open to everyone.
Here’s a list of who’s performing this summer and when.
June 22
Rockford Legends: ‘80s and ‘90s Spanish rock and pop, as well as traditional Mexican sounds including Banda, Noreñto, and Sierreño. Featured bands include: Los Rayos, DJ Bahena, La Ultima Banda, Dragones Rock, and Grupe de Baile.
July 20
From Rockford to the World — Celebrate Our Latin Roots: This event celebrates the Colombian community, as Colombia celebrates its day of independence. The event will take place at Sinnissippi Park Music Shell
Aug. 17
Celebrating Our Youth: Entertainment featuring youth artists performing rock and traditional Mexican sounds, including Banda, Noreño, and Sierreño.
About Domingos En El Parque
Concerts begin at 2 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Seating is limited, so we encourage guests to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
Domingos En El Parque (Sundays In The Park) was founded by Armando Cardenas in 2002. Today, Domingos En El Parque is entering its 24th season and is known as the largest free Latino concert series in northern Illinois.
