Popular local ice cream spot to open for the season

EUREKA – A popular seasonal ice cream spot is preparing to open its doors for 2026.

Uncle Bob’s Homemade Ice Cream said it expects to open on Friday, May 29 – with $1 scoops available all day.

“Can’t wait to see you all again soon!” an announcement noted.

This season, Uncle Bob’s said it is extending its hours of operation. The business will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The seasonal staple, situated at 409 E. Center St. in Eureka, consistently wins the ice cream category in the Official Community’s Choice Awards – most recently claiming the top spot in 2025.
