“As a result, Penn (Station) Subs had to shut down operations for the rest of the evening,” the release noted.

The fire department responded to the storefront – situated at 4620 N. University St. – at just after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A patron and three employees were inside at the time of the crash but were uninjured. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash remains unknown.
