The Chicago Bears stayed busy and active on Saturday, trading up one more time on the final day of the 2026 NFL Draft to land Georgia Tech defensive tackle Jordan van den Berg with the 213th overall pick.
The Bears traded both seventh-round picks (Nos. 239, 241) to the Buffalo Bills to land van den Berg in the sixth round, finally addressing a position of need. Van den Berg is a solid defensive tackle who projects best as a run stopper. At Georgia Tech’s Pro Day, van den Berg scored a perfect 10.00 RAS score, showing his athleticism that likely attracted the Bears front office and coaching staff to bring him as a development project.
After drafting all over the roster on both offense and defense, Chicago finally added a player at a major position of need on the defensive line, adding four total defenders in their 2026 draft class.
