Looking to beat the heat? Pontiac area has 3 outdoor pools, one indoor pool

A tradition in many communities is the local swimming pool.

There are currently three outdoor pools and an indoor facility available for public use in the Pontiac area.

Each of the outdoor pools offer swimming lessons and can be rented for private events.

Here’s a list of swimming pools in the area.

Chenoa Swimming Pool

Open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, the Chenoa Swimming Pool offers options for families and individuals looking to cool off.

The pool will sell punch cards this year — $50 for 10 swims and 2 free swims per card.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday, 12:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday

Location: 205 N. Morehead St., Chenoa

Cost: $5 a day for adults and children over 3. $1 a day for children 3 and under. $1 for Adult Swim and Little Swimmer Hour.

Stafford Swimming Pool

May 24 was the opening day for the 2025 swimming season at the Stafford Swimming Pool. The pool will be open through the week of the Fairbury Fair, closing Aug. 17. Swim team and season passes are available.

Hours: noon to 7 p.m.

Location: 708 N. First St., Fairbury

Cost: $5 for adult and children over 3. Free for children 3 and under.

Odell Pool

The Odell Pool will be open this summer into early August and will offer instructor-led water aerobics for the first time. Season passes available.

Hours: noon to 7 p.m.

Location: 300 W. Second St., Odell

Cost: $5 for adults and children 4 and over. Children three and under are free.

Pontiac Natatorium

Pontiac does not have an outdoor pool, but it does have the indoor Natatorium Pool.

Hours: Hours are set by the month and can be found at the City of Pontiac website. June hours are 1 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Adult swim is 5 to 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Sunday.

Location: Inside the Community Recreation Center, 900 N. Elm St.

Cost: Free with a rec center pass and included in rec center daily drop-in fee. Pricing available at City of Pontiac website.
