Rockford, IL — The newest slot machines at Hard Rock Casino Rockford pay homage to hometown rock and roll legend Rick Nielsen.
The custom machines, called Rick Nielsen’s Five Neck Fortune, were unveiled during a special ceremony Aug. 7 at the casino.
As the casino readies to celebrate its upcoming one-year anniversary, officials hired British artist Shannon MacDonald to design a slot machine that would honor Nielsen.
“From the moment we opened, we knew Rick had to be at the heart of Hard Rock Rockford,” Geno Iafrate, president of Hard Rock Casino Rockford, said in a news release. “This custom game brings his energy, his story and his legendary guitar to life on our floor.”
The machines features four guitar symbols with the five-neck guitar acting as a 3X wild symbol and top-paying combination. With a nine-line, high-denomination setup, the game offers a maximum jackpot of 22,500 credits.
Rick Nielsen’s Five Neck Fortune is exclusive to Hard Rock Casino Rockford.
The casino opened Aug. 29, 2024. It features more than 1,300 slot machines, 50 live table games including a poker room, a sportsbook, seven unique restaurants and a Rock Shop offering authentic Hard Rock merchandise and more.
