The karaoke scene in Pensacola is mourning a heavy loss after a Scenic Highway car crash took the life of a community icon.
Social media was ablaze June 17 with an outpouring of prayers for Nick Wing, a well-known staple amongst the Downtown Pensacola karaoke scene.
Wing died Tuesday morning during a crash on Scenic Highway near Manolet Street, according to friends.
Who is Nick Wing?
Nick Wing was the owner of Wing It Karaoke and often hosted karaoke nights at Seville Quarter in Downtown Pensacola.
What does the community say about Nick Wing?
Many in the Pensacola community took to social media to remember Wing’s “positive energy” and “soulful voice.” Wing was a staple among the karaoke community, with many remembering how he could hold a room among many.
