That’s according to Southern Living. The publication recognized Cocoa Beach in a June 8 article, pointing out not just it’s beautiful sunrises, but also places to eat, play and stay at in the area.

“This slender strip of land south of Cape Canaveral on Florida’s Space Coast—not to be confused with the nearby city of Cocoa—has six miles of gorgeous shores, easy access to the Banana River and the Thousand Islands Conservation Area,” according to the publication. “With the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Banana River on the other, Cocoa Beach offers just about any water activity you can think of.”

What time are sunrises in Cocoa Beach during summer 2025?

It’s at 6:25 a.m. on June 24th and gets later by a few seconds each day.

Where to park to watch the sunrise on Cocoa Beach

Paid parking is enforced from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. 7 days a week unless otherwise posted. Parking has to be paid in advance through an app.

Rules for Cocoa Beach including if dogs are allowed

Visitors are encouraged to come enjoy the sunrises, but there are some rules that need to be followed.

Keep off dunes and away from turtle nests. Disturbing either can result in fines.
