Unified Veterans Disc Golf Tournament, Royal Palm Beach
Held at Commons Park, this fourth annual Memorial Day week event is hosted by Unified Dream and supported by MVP Disc Sports. It honors fallen veterans and first responders and will feature a disc golf tournament, tribute signage at every tee pad, and a barbecue recognizing outstanding veterans from each military branch. Attendees will enjoy cash prizes, Closest To Pin contests, raffle items, food, and military honors. Non-participants are welcome to attend the ceremony and BBQ. Beloved local musicians Spred The Dub will perform.

South Florida National Cemetery Memorial Day, Wellington
This event at the South Florida National Cemetery will feature former U.S. Army Ranger Matt Eversmann who fought in operation “Gothic Serpent” in Mogadishu, Somalia, in which roughly 100 American troops held off over 1,000 armed Somali fighters. The battle was the basis for the book “Black Hawk Down” which later was made into a movie.

“A Day To Remember” Memorial Day Service, Lantana
Jim Sackett will once again serve as master of ceremonies at this family-friendly event honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. The ceremony will feature presentations of the color and performances by the 4th ANGLICO Color Guard, United States Navy Color Guard, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, Boynton Beach Fire Department Honor Guard, Lake Worth High School Air Force JROTC, Santaluces Community High School Army JROTC, Lantana Explorer Posts, Boy Scouts of America Troop 395/Cub Scouts of America Pack 241 and Girl Scout Troops 20880, 24341, and 24547. There will patriotic music by The Coastmen Chorus of the Palm Beaches, military vehicles on display by Project 425 and a submarine torpedo display by United States Submarine Veterans, Inc.
