JUPITER – President Donald Trump is coming to town.
Trump is expected to soon visit his Jupiter golf course for the first time since he took office in January. He will spend part of this weekend at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, according to a notice of temporary flight restrictions issued Tuesday morning by the Federal Aviation Administration.
The FAA also issued restrictions for Trump’s upcoming weekend at his Mar-a-Lago Club. The restrictions for the airspace over Palm Beach take effect at 9 p.m. Thursday and end at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, providing a window during which the president would arrive and depart.
This trip marks Trump’s eighth weekend in Palm Beach County since his Jan. 20 inauguration.
Trump is expected to spend Thursday afternoon at Trump National Doral in Miami, ahead of that course hosting a LIV Golf tournament Friday through Sunday.
His trip to Florida comes just one day after what Trump called “Liberation Day,” when he imposed sweeping tariffs affecting all U.S. trading partners and imports.

When will Trump visit Jupiter?
Trump will visit his Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter for part of Saturday and Sunday, according to an FAA notice.
What will Trump do in Jupiter?
The White House has not released Trump’s weekend plans.
However, Trump has been known to compete in Trump National Golf Club’s senior championship, which runs Friday through Sunday. The club is also hosting Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association’s 17th annual Police Officer’s Ball on Saturday night, according to an invitation for that event.
How will Jupiter be impacted by Trump’s visit?
Flight restrictions for Jupiter include a 5-nautical-mile radius from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. These restrictions are within the larger presidential-level flight restrictions issued in the airspace over Palm Beach each time Trump travels to Mar-a-Lago.
Trump will most likely take Interstate 95 to get to and from his Jupiter golf course. This was the route his motorcade previously took to Jupiter during his first term. The trip from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club to Trump National in Jupiter will take about 30 minutes.
Drivers should expect more traffic on I-95 and in West Palm Beach and Jupiter in the mornings and evenings on Saturday and Sunday. People will also see an increased law enforcement presence around the club before and during Trump’s visit.
Is Trump National Jupiter public?
No, it is a private golf club.
The club spans 285 acres and has a spa and salon, a pool, fitness centers and tennis courts. Golf legend Jack Nicklaus, who lives nearby in Lost Tree Village, designed the club’s 18-hole course, which is 7,531 yards.
Trump has hosted campaign events and press conferences at the Jupiter club.
Early in his first term as president, Trump hosted Shinzo Abe, then the prime minister of Japan, for a round of golf on the Jupiter course amid a weekend of diplomatic talks in February 2017.
Trump National Jupiter previously was the Ritz Carlton Golf Club & Spa. It opened in 2002 and was purchased by Trump in 2012 for $5 million plus another $30 million in debt.
