It is time to vote for the PuroClean of Melbourne Girls Athlete of the Week at 321preps.com and floridatoday.com.
The following athletes were nominated for their performances from Sept. 22-27. You will find the ballot at the bottom of the page. Be sure to refresh if the poll isn’t visible upon first loading. Voting will be open until noon on Thursday, Oct. 2. Votes are restricted to once per device per hour.
The last winner was Aerin Wyman of Cocoa Beach swimming. Find a list of the 2025-26 winners at the bottom.
Coaches and athletic directors are invited to nominate athletes each week. E-mail the athlete’s accomplishments for the previous Monday through Saturday to Prepscores@floridatoday.com by 10 a.m. each Sunday.
Here are this week’s nominees:
Sophia Calabro, Edgewood swimming
Calabro swam on the winning 400 freestyle relay for the Red Wolves on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
Victoria Deese, Cocoa Beach golf
Deese shot a nine-hole round of 39 at Cocoa Beach Country Club on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
Abby Houle, Titusville swimming
Houle won the 200 IM and 50 freestyle for the Terriers at a meet against Space Coast on Sept 23. She also won the same events at a meet against Harmony on Sept. 27.
Amber Ives, Merritt Island volleyball
In three games against Edgewood, Satellite, and Heritage, Ives finished with a total of 75 assists, 11 aces and 20 digs to help the Mustangs win the Cape Coast Conference championship.
Brooke Rhoads, Heritage bowling
Rhoads bowled a game of 262 at Shore Lane Palm Bay on Sept. 25. She also bowled a 202 game on Sept. 23.
