Lacrosse season is underway in the Gainesville-area, and the dominant team in the region remains Oak Hall.
The Eagles lost a plethora of talent from its boys and girls squads, but the depth still runs deep on both. The girls still feature the Sun’s All-Area first team goalie Savannah Loges. The boys, meanwhile, still have Paul Thur de Koos and Dominic Moreschi.

Buchholz boys have first teammers Drew King and Aidan St. Clair, while Santa Fe, Gainesville High, Newberry and Eastside all look to make some noise.
It’s a similar situation on the girls side as Newberry returns plenty of good players, while GHS will have to replace a top-notch roster.
Enough talk about what to expect, it’s time to determine who is the best of the best. Below is a poll to decide the best boys and girls lacrosse players in the Gainesville area. There are 11 nominees from which to choose on the boys’ side and 13 on the girls’. The poll is open until noon Saturday, March 14, and you can vote as many times as you’d like, so please share this poll with friends and family.
Good luck to all!
