The News Herald is back with the athlete of the week poll, but first, congratulations to Jack Peaden of North Bay Haven, last week’s Florida Power & Light (FPL) athlete of the week.
Congratulations to the Arnold boys weightlifting team on sweeping and winning their seventh consecutive Class 2A District 2 championship and to the North Bay Haven weightlifting team for sweeping the Class 1A District 1 titles!

Goodpaster hit two home runs in the 18-0 victory over Mosley.

Stokes had a no-hitter in three innings; she threw seven strikeouts in the victory over Mosley.
