The second round of the U.S. Open will resume at 7:30 a.m. on June 14 at the Oakmont Country Club.
Thirteen players will return to finish either one or two holes. Play was suspended at 8:15 p.m. on June 13 when lightning was detected near the area.
Only three of the 13 players are on track to make the 7-over cut: Thriston Lawrence, who is 1-over and facing a 4-foot putt for par at No. 18, Chris Gotterup, who is 5-over through 17 holes and Philip Barbaree Jr., who is 6-over through 16 holes.
None of the remaining players can make the cut. The best score of those who didn’t complete their second round was Jinichiro Kozuma, who was 9-over with one hole to play.
U.S. Open leaderboard
The USGA said the third round will begin in twosomes off the first tee, starting around 9 a.m. Leader Sam Burns (3-under) will play with J.J. Spaun (2-under) in the final group and Viktor Hovland (1-under) will play with Adam Scott (even par) in the twosome before that.
If Lawrence pars the last, he will be paired with Victor Perez (1-over).
