The Gainesville Police Department responded the morning of March 9 to a report of a person found dead at the northbound entrance of I‑75 on Williston Road near a Circle K gas station.
GPD received the report at 8:32 a.m., according to Public Information Officer Art Forgey.
The body could be seen covered by a white sheet just behind an electrical box.
Forgey said the person, who was believed to be homeless, has not yet been identified, but that the Florida Highway Patrol has been called in to conduct a fingerprint scan.
Forgey said there was no foul play suspected.
