Follow the yellow brick road to the Golden Gala.
Now in its 42nd year, the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Golden Gala has transformed the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center into the Emerald City for a Wizard of Oz themed night.
More than 1,500 guests attended the event dressed to the nines in their tuxedos and evening gowns.
Tables that seat eight were sold for $7,000. This year there were options to purchase half tables for $3,500 or two seats for $1,750, opening the opportunity for more people to join the night filled with glitz and glamour.
The proceeds from this year’s Golden Gala and the TMH Foundation are being used to support the expansion of behavioral health services in partnership with the Apalachee Center.
Fittingly, a concert by Grammy nominated singer Teddy Swims was the main event of the night. His debut album “I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1)” earned him a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
Swims is an advocate who uses his music to create conversation about mental health.
“The Apalachee Center team is profoundly grateful for the commitment of the TMH Foundation to highlight behavioral health.” said Jay Reeve, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of Apalachee Center, which leads behavioral health services at TMH. “Apalachee Center and TMH have worked as close partners for years to integrate and expand access to behavioral health services in the Big Bend. Golden Gala 2026 will be an opportunity to showcase that partnership and help support the continued expansion of behavioral healthcare in this community.”
