These veterans may qualify for free TSA precheck. Who qualifies

Some disabled veterans now qualify for free PreCheck enrollment through the Transportation Security Administration.

All three conditions must be met to qualify for the free precheck.

The VA says Florida has 1,542,770 veterans, the third-most in the country. Of them, 401,118 are receiving disability compensation.

According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, all three of these conditions must be met to qualify for the benefit, which was authorized by Congress last summer:

How can disabled Florida veterans get free TSA PreCheck?  

Eligible vets need to sign in to access their VA benefit letters and documents online. They should then go to the benefit letter and document section on the VA’s website and select the TSA PreCheck application fee waiver letter.  

The last step is to download the PDF.  

Vets who are struggling to log in can use the “Ask VA” option to submit questions. The VA says to select “disability compensation” for the category and “how to file a claim” for the topic.
