The latest on the Marion County Amber Alert for teen who has been shot and is now missing

When was Caden Speight last seen?

The afternoon of Sept. 25 in the 12800 block of Southwest County Road 484 in the Marion County portion of Dunnellon.

What happened in the Marion County Amber Alert case?

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said it was called to a shooting about 4:15 p.m. Sept. 25 at that CR 484 location. They found an older model pickup truck that they say belongs to Caden. The teen was not at the scene and could not be found.

The sheriff’s office says Caden has been shot and wounded.

What efforts have been made to find Caden?

Sheriff’s office personnel, including the helicopter unit, were searching overnight.

What else do we know about the Amber Alert in Marion County?

Caden is White, with brown hair and brown eyes. He stands 6 feet tall and weighs 150 pounds. He was wearing a T-shirt and blue jeans.

Officials say the teen may be in the company of four unknown males, and could be traveling in a light-colored van.
