The Swifties were right … another Taylor Swift album is coming!
The global superstar announced her 12th album in a promo for boyfriend Travis Kelce’s podcast “New Heights” at 12:12 a.m. ET on Aug. 12.
During the clip, Swift pulled out a blurred album cover for her new project and said, “This is my brand-new album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl.'” Immediately, Travis and co-host, brother Jason Kelce, launched into applause.
The announcement comes after Kelce’s account and the “New Heights” podcast page shared a joint tease to a “VERY special guest” on an upcoming episode. A silhouette that looked like Swift sent her fandom into a tailspin of excitement and theorizing.
The full episode has yet to come out, but there are still some hints about what this new era could look like. According to USA TODAY’s Bryan West, there is a jar of friendship bracelets tucked on the shelf behind Swift, and a new logo on an orange square with the yellow letters “T.S.”
When will the Taylor Swift episode of New Heights air?
The full podcast episode with Taylor Swift will air at 7 p.m. ET on Aug. 13. Swift is known for revealing vital information on the 13th, which is her lucky number and birthday (Dec. 13).

USA TODAY notes this podcast appearance is symbolic because it is where Travis told his brother Jason he tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number.
“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she said during her Time Magazine Person of the Year article. The two dated in secret before she appeared in an NFL suite at a Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears game in September 2023.
