Suspect at large after ECSO finds man shot dead in Pensacola hotel

Investigators for the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office are still searching for a suspect after a man was found shot dead inside a Pensacola hotel late Thursday night.

The ECSO said they responded to Quality Inn on Pensacola Boulevard to a shots fired disturbance where deputies found a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head.

“He was not registered as a guest at the hotel, and we did locate his vehicle in the lot,” the ECSO said in a statement to the News Journal.

The ECSO said that investigators have still not identified a suspect and the investigation remains ongoing.
