A short portion of a Lakeland road will be closed on March 10 as a city contractor performs repair work.
The city announced a section of Commerce Drive, from Crystal Wood Drive to Edenfield Place, will be closed March 10 for pavement repairs. The length of road closed is approximately one-tenth of a mile.

Commerce Point Drive serves as a short connector between U.S. 98 South and Combee Road, also known as County Road 33A.
The repairs are expected to be completed in one day. Detours will be in place to guide motorists around the closed roadway as asphalt milling and repair is performed.
Drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes.
