FORT WALTON BEACH — We asked and you answered.
Last week, the Daily News put up a poll asking the community whether the 12-year-old in the Walton County school stabbing case should be prosecuted as an adult.
A grand jury indicted the boy on charges of attempted first-degree premeditated murder, two counts of aggravated battery while wearing a mask, possession of a weapon on school property while wearing a mask and tampering with evidence.
The poll received 662 total votes with 56.8% of people voting yes and 43.2% voting no.
For now, the child is being prosecuted in the adult system.
