Schwab Challenge winner Russell Henley up 16 spots on PGA Tour money list

Not much changed at the top of the PGA Tour money list after the Charles Schwab Challenge, with most of the leaders taking the week off before a stretch that begins with this week’s Memorial Tournament and continues in June with the RBC Canadian Open, the U.S. Open and the Travelers Championship, the final signature event of the season.

The only change among the top 10 came when Ludvig Åberg, who tied for 17th place at Colonial for $141,075, moved up a spot to ninth, overtaking Chris Gotterup, who was not in the field. Schwab winner Russell Henley jumped from 29th to 13th with a check of $1.782 million, and runner-up Eric Cole went from 84th to 48th with a check for $1,079,100.

Purse goes up at Muirfield Village

The potential is there for some serious reshuffling this week at The Memorial, in Dublin, Ohio. The purse for the signature event is $20 million, with $4 million for the winner.

The only player among the top 30 on the current money list that is not in the field is Collin Morikawa, who continues to be plagued by a back injury. The field is led by top earner Cameron Young ($11.9 million) and defending Memorial champion Scottie Scheffler (11.6 million).

Young has led the Tour money list for the last five weeks.

Cole among the latest Tour millionaires

Cole became one of the latest Tour millionaires this season. Also passing that milestone was Zach Bachou, whose tie for 22nd and $92,400 check made him the 82nd player this season with $1 million or more in on-course earnings.
