RBC Heritage leaderboard, PGA Tour updates, Round 1 tee times

We are just a few days removed from Rory McIlroy’s thrilling win at the Masters, his second straight Green Jacket. Alas, the PGA Tour continues this week with a Signature Event, the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Unsurprisingly so, McIlroy won’t be teeing it up in this week’s event, but several top finishers at Augusta National will be in attendance, including World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Xander Schauffele, Shane Lowry and many more.

Being a Signature Event, there is no cut this week. And, the total payouts for this event will be $20 million, with the winner taking home $3.6 million.

This event dates back to the 1950s and has been a mainstay on the PGA Tour calendar in April since the mid-1980s. Two years ago, Scheffler, fresh off of his Masters win, took home the first-prize check in the RBC Heritage. Last year, Justin Thomas topped Andrew Novak in a playoff for the win. Both men are in this year’s field.
