The winner of the Wednesday, Aug. 12, Powerball drawing purchased the ticket in Quincy, Illinois, lottery officials said. Quincy is in western Illinois and is about 135 miles north of St. Louis, Missouri, and 300 miles southwest of Chicago, Illinois.

Even luckier was a ticket bought in Texas that matched 5 plus the Power Play for a $2 million prize.

The Florida Lottery site states Circle K, 1026 Walt Williams Road, Lakeland, Florida, sold the second-tier Powerball ticket worth $1 million in the Saturday, Aug. 8, drawing. The Lakeland, Florida, ticket-holder claimed a one-time lump sum cash prize as of Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, a few days after that Powerball draw.
