A popular Naples-based Tex-Mex restaurant is coming to the Pine Island Road corridor in Cape Coral.
Tacos & Tequila Cantina’s fifth location is being built in the space just north of Love Boat Ice Cream and First Watch in Cape Coral Commons.

“We’re thrilled to expand into Cape Coral and bring the T&T experience to a new part of Southwest Florida and its communities,” founder and CEO Kelly Musico said in a news release. “This has been a long time coming, and we can’t wait to open our doors!”
Musico and her husband Aldo launched the first Tacos & Tequila Cantina in Naples’ Kings Lake Square on Davis Boulevard in 2013. Three more locations — at Pavilion on Tamiami Trail North in Naples, University Village Plaza in south Fort Myers and Founders Square in Naples — have since followed.
They’re well known for their creatively unconventional menus, festive vibe, eclectic decor and two fan-favorite happy hours (from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and a late-nighter from 8 p.m. to close).
The upcoming Cape spot — expected to open by the end of the year — will join Mission BBQ, Crumbl Cookies, Love Boat Ice Cream, Huey Magoos, Eagle Specialty Coffee and Firehouse Subs in the bustling plaza on the northwest corner of Pine Island Road and Del Prado Boulevard. Pei Wei Asian Kitchen and Papa John’s Pizza are also set to open there.
