PBSO: Welfare visit in Lake Worth Beach finds body of man who'd been stabbed to death

Authorities are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred on June 22 in Lake Worth Beach.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately identify the man, whose body they found while checking on his welfare shortly after 10 p.m.

They reported finding him on the 900 block of Lake Avenue, just west of Dixie Highway, and that he had what appeared to be stab wounds.

Detectives from the sheriff’s Violent Crimes Division are investigating the death as a homicide.

The sheriff’s office reported that it has identified a person of interest. Investigators did not specify a motive for the stabbing.
