Bella’s Angels adds two members to board
Bella’s Angels, Inc., a local grassroots organization whose mission is to financially assist local children who have life-long physical disabilities, beyond what insurance covers, has made two appointments. Bob Webster has been appointed to the board of directors. Webster is the CFO of Elite Medical Staffing. He has been instrumental in sitting on the Clay Shoot committee and providing nursing staff for Bella’s Angels’ Thea’s Night Out program, a community respite care program, held once a month in Boca Raton, Wellington, and Palm Beach Gardens. In addition, Ken Macdonald, founder and CEO of Lifetime Performance has also been appointed to the board of directors. Macdonald sits on the Nine & Dine Golf Committee and also assists with Thea’s Night Out.
Boca Helping Hands announces four hires
Boca Helping Hands recently welcomed four new staff members. With a background in marketing, communications, and community-based work, Kori Ernst has been named development and marketing associate. Anais Fauteux, a recent graduate of Florida Atlantic University, joins as communications and marketing specialist. Her focus is on strengthening the organization’s messaging. Also joining the team are Michelle Lee, staff accountant, and Erika Hawn, volunteer program manager. Lee, a Florida Atlantic University alumna, brings more than a decade of nonprofit experience. Hawn has a deep passion for service a background in hospitality and has volunteered at Helping Hands since age 12. Boca Helping Hands is a community-based nonprofit that provides food assistance and workforce development programs to help individuals and families improve their quality of life and build financial stability.
Dreyfoos School Foundation adds board member
The Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation recently announced the appointment of Heidi Steiger to its board of directors. A distinguished global financial services leader, Steiger has held numerous high-level leadership roles, including serving as east region president for the Private Bank of U.S. Bank. Beyond finance, Steiger has a deep commitment to the arts and philanthropy. The Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation provides support for the arts and academic curriculum at the Dreyfoos School of the Arts, a public arts high school in Palm Beach County.
MorseLife names chief operating officer
MorseLife, an award-winning leader in senior care, recently announced the appointment of Trisha Hewes as chief operating officer. Hewes will serve as a close partner to interim chief executive officer Louis J. Woolf and to the future CEO once named, overseeing MorseLife’s services and operations. She will work closely with the executive team to ensure that MorseLife’s programs and services continue to meet the highest standards. Hewes brings to her new position more than 12 years of leadership experience at MorseLife. MorseLife is a nationally recognized, award-winning leader in senior care based in West Palm Beach.
Comiter Singer promotes two to partner status
Comiter Singer, an award-winning Florida estate planning law firm, recently elevated Devon M. Goldberg and Daryl Krauza to partners at the firm. Goldberg practices in the areas of business entities and transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and income and estate tax planning. He also advises clients on charitable planning, including the establishment of private foundations and other tax-exempt organizations. Krauza, primarily handles contested probate and trust matters. His practice focuses on trust, probate and fiduciary litigation. Comiter Singer is headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens with additional offices in Boca Raton, Stuart and Palm Beach.
Leizman Wealth Management advisor makes Forbes list
Nancy K. Leizman, CPFA, private wealth advisor, managing director of Leizman Wealth Management of Raymond James, with offices in Beachwood, Ohio and Palm Beach Gardens, was among the Raymond James-affiliated advisors named to the Forbes list of Best-in-State Wealth Advisors. The list, which recognizes advisors from national, regional and independent firms, was released April 7.
