Goodwill promotes two, adds IT specialist
Goodwill Industries-Manasota, Inc. recently added to its executive team in support of three key operational areas – real estate, safety and risk management, and technology — through two promotions and one new hire. Kim Glogovsky has been promoted to vice president of real estate, Kevin Ouellette has been promoted to vice president of safety and risk management, and Russ Prentice has been hired as the new vice president of Information Systems. Glogovsky will direct the evaluation, acquisition, property management, and the development of real estate assets and leased properties for Goodwill Industries-Manasota and its east coast subsidiary, Goodwill Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast. Ouellette will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading comprehensive safety and risk management programs as well as identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks to protect the organization’s physical assets, employees, and brand. Prentice will be responsible for all organizational technology information systems required to achieve strategic goals, supporting enterprise-wide planning while overseeing IT workflows and key technology initiatives. Goodwill Industries-Manasota, Inc. (comprising Goodwill Manasota and Goodwill Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast) provides resources, training, and support through strong collaboration with local partners to help individuals obtain employment and build skills.
The Lord’s Place board changing leadership
The Lord’s Place recently announced James “Jim” Kukla as the new chair of the board of directors. Kukla replaced Cornie Thornburgh after 10 years serving as the chair. Thornburgh has moved into the role as chair of The Lord’s Place foundation to help raise major gifts to endow and sustain organization into the future. For the past decade, Kukla has demonstrated unwavering commitment and exceptional contributions to The Lord’s Place. For more than 45 years, The Lord’s Place has been working to break the cycle of homelessness for men, women, and children in Palm Beach County through innovative, compassionate and effective services.
Retirement community in Boca Raton names health center director
Dr. Amin Sanaia was recently named executive director of the health center at Toby & Leon Cooperman Sinai Residences in Boca Raton. The center is an award-winning, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community providing high-quality, personalized care, including assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and short-term rehabilitation. Sanaia brings more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning continuing care retirement communities, skilled nursing, assisted living, and multi-site healthcare systems. Toby & Leon Cooperman Sinai Residences Boca Raton is a five-star, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community located on the campus of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County.
B’nai Torah Congregation president receives award
B’nai Torah Congregation has announced that Scott Frank of Boca Raton has received the 2026 Melanie Jacobson Inspirational Jewish Leadership Award. Frank is president of B’nai Torah congregation. Established in 2023, the honor recognizes individuals who exemplify visionary Jewish leadership, spiritual integrity, and a deep commitment to community. B’nai Torah Congregation in Boca Raton is the largest conservative synagogue in the Southeastern United States with over 1,300 membership families.
HCA Florida Healthcare adds obstetrician-gynecologist
HCA Florida Healthcare has welcomed Luis A. Flores, MD, FACOG, a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist specializing in minimally invasive and robotic gynecologic surgery. This addition expands access to specialized women’s health and gynecologic care across the Palm Beach and Treasure Coast regions. Boca Helping Hands expands with generous gift
Boca Helping Hands recently announced the expansion of its workforce development program, supported by a transformative gift from longtime supporters Bob and Amy DeVries and family. The donation, distributed over the next five years, will support the charity’s food assistance and workforce development programs, with a strong emphasis on advancing workforce initiatives. This transformative gift will further allow Boca Helping Hands to equip individuals with the skills, training, and support needed to secure sustainable, long-term careers. Boca Helping Hands began in 1998 and offers a wide range of services.
