B’nai Torah Congregation welcomes senior rabbi
B’nai Torah Congregation has announced the appointment of Rabbi Bryan Wexler as its new senior rabbi. Wexler assumes the role following the retirement of longtime spiritual leader Rabbi David Steinhardt, who concluded an extraordinary 31-year tenure in June 2025. A passionate rabbi and educator, Wexler is committed to helping people find meaningful entry points into Judaism while discovering and strengthening their own Jewish voices. Wexler and his wife, Rebecca, are the proud parents of three children: Meyer, Gavi, and Eliana. B’nai Torah Congregation is the largest conservative synagogue in the Southeast U.S. with over 1,300 membership families.
Sachs Sax Caplan, P.L. raises two partners to named partners
Sachs Sax Caplan, P.L., one of South Florida’s premier full-service law firms, announced the elevation of partners Daniel A. Kaskel and Larry E. Schner to named partners. In recognition of their leadership, longstanding contributions to the firm, and commitment to client service, the firm will now be known as Sachs Sax Caplan Kaskel & Schner, PLLC. Kaskel chairs the firm’s real estate, corporate, land use & transactional services group and represents investors, developers, and family offices in complex transactions nationwide. Schner chairs the firm’s litigation practice group and is a key member of its community association law team. Schner represents condominium and homeowners’ associations throughout Florida. Sachs Sax Caplan Kaskel & Schner, PLLC is a Boca Raton-based law firm serving businesses, individuals, community associations, and family offices across Florida for more than 40 years.
Kravis Center elects new board members, recognizes longtime member
The board of directors of The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Inc. elected three new board members, Peter D. Cummings, Steven Sanders and Steven W. Barnes. Their three-year terms began July 1. Cummings is a real estate developer and philanthropist and the founder of The Platform, a Detroit-based development company focused on urban revitalization. Sanders, a resident of Palm Beach, is a partner at Sanders Capital, LLC, a global investment manager with approximately $122 billion in assets under management. Barnes, also a resident of Palm Beach, is a senior advisor at Bain Capital, LLC, a leading global private investment firm with approximately $215 billion in assets under management. It was also announced that longtime board member Richard Sloane, who has fulfilled his term on the board of directors, will become a Kravis Center Life Trustee in recognition of his years of dedicated service. The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is one of South Florida’s premier performing arts centers located in downtown West Palm Beach.
Sinai Residences names health center director of assisted living
Toby & Leon Cooperman Sinai Residences, a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community in Boca Raton, has named Marla Samuels, RN, BSN, as director of assisted living at the Health Center. An accomplished registered nurse and healthcare leader with more than 12 years of experience, Samuels most recently served as director of nursing at Home Health at Lifespace Communities, where she led clinical teams, ensured regulatory compliance, and advanced quality patient care. Outside of work, Samuels is an active member of The Faith Center in Sunrise, where she serves on the church’s medical team.
Boca Raton Junior League installs president, new board
The Junior League of Boca Raton installed Melody Cobbe as president at its annual dinner meeting, along with a new board of directors. Cobbe has been a member of the Junior League of Boca Raton since 2012 and is the founder of Cobbe Law, where she focuses on helping small businesses minimize risk and navigate legal matters. New board members include Darina Bowerman, Lise Orr, Melody Cobbe, Anne Grigsby, Karen Liu, Shannon Moriarity, Lisa Warren, Alexandra Scheiber, Daniele Jean, Donna Capparelli, Alyson Reeves, Jackie Reeves, Jill Merjeski and Kristin Martin. The league contributes more than 35,000 volunteer hours per year and donates more than $250,000 to support the organization’s mission of advancing women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.
Boynton Beach Chamber of Industry & Commerce names recent top ambassador
Carol Petroski, property manager of Nexus Workspaces Executive Suites and Office Rentals, has been named Boynton Beach Chamber of Industry & Commerce Ambassador of the month for May 2026. Petroski handles over 300 clients daily and is one of the senior ambassadors for the Boynton Beach Chamber of Industry & Commerce.The chamber unites members and residents and advocates for policies that benefit both businesses and the broader community, connecting members to experts, resources, and networking opportunities that strengthen Boynton Beach’s business environment.
