The Oaks Women’s Club, a philanthropic organization based in Osprey, recently celebrated 16 young women who were honored as their 2026 scholarship recipients at the group’s annual Scholarship Recognition luncheon in April.
The high school seniors will each receive a $5,000 scholarship for their first year in college:

• Chelsea Cisneros-Gonzalez, Venice High School, FSU
• Kate Domian, Pine View High School, either USCGA or Trinity
• Gianna Glover, Booker High School, Florida International University

The award recipients each have excelled academically, are leaders in their high schools, hold down part-time jobs, and spend hundreds of hours giving back and making a difference in the community.
Also attending the luncheon were their mothers, Scholarship Gala sponsors and Oaks Women’s Club members and supporters of the scholarship fund.
The Oaks Women’s Club scholarship program is available to all female students who will receive a high school diploma from Sarasota County school. A minimum of a 3.0 GPA and permanent Florida residency are required. Additionally, financial need, test scores, community involvement, extracurricular activities and demonstrated leadership are considered.
The Oaks Women’s Club established its Scholarship Committee in 2001. The Club has raised $1.4 million in the 25 years since the committee was founded and has awarded scholarships to about 230 girls. Second- and third-year renewal scholarships are also available if academic standards continue to be met.
