The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost Mike Evans in free agency this offseason. While he was getting on the older side, he was their receiving option to stretch the field, so they needed to replace him. They found their new guy to stretch the field in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
With the 83rd pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Georgia State wide receiver Ted Hurst.
Hurst aced the draft process, going back to the Senior Bowl and through the scouting combine. It all led to him showing his more than just speed, as he has finesse to his game, and it allows him to navigate defenses. He will be a welcome piece to the Bucs receiving corps.
He will be competing with the likes of Tez Johnson for the deep threat roles, but he could also be a dynamic piece in the return game if they decide to roll him out that way.
