NASCAR’s vacation is over.
After a one-week break, the Cup Series roared back onto the 0.875-mile track at Iowa Speedway. It hosted the Iowa Corn 350 on Aug. 9, and a well-rested Ty Gibbs captured the win. He led 20 laps and held off runner-up Christopher Bell and third-place finisher Ryan Blaney.
For Gibbs, the trip to Victory Lane was his second of the 2026 campaign and second of his young career.

Now, NASCAR’s top-tier circuit will not enjoy another rest until mid-November, after a champion is crowned. Three weeks remain in the regular season. Then, the 10-week Chase kicks off.
