The Miami Dolphins have been one of the biggest spenders in free agency in recent years, a pattern that is about to break starting on Monday, March 9.
New general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan comes to us from Green Bay, where the Packers are historically among the very lowest spenders in free agency.
And, yes, the Dolphins are nearly broke relative to salary cap space due to a slew of cuts that have and will result in enormous dead cap space.
Chris Grier was let go as Dolphins general manager after 10 seasons. But he had full control of decision-making for the last seven.
