One Jacksonville Jaguars player was listed among the fantasy football breakout candidates for the 2026 NFL season.
Ross Kelly of CBS Sports recently put together his 2026 fantasy football rankings, which included him going through his sleepers, breakouts, and busts for the upcoming season.
In the breakout category was Jaguars’ running back, Bhayshulu Tuten.
“He impressed when given opportunities as a rookie, scoring in all four games he had at least nine touches,” Kelly wrote. “Tuten is a home-run threat in an offense in need of playmakers as he had the fastest 40-yard-dash time of any running back in the 2025 draft class. Tuten is set to break out as a sophomore and presents as a value pick in the mid-rounds of Fantasy football drafts 2026.”
As Kelly notes, Tuten is a big-play threat, and more opportunities will be coming his way with Travis Etienne in New Orleans.
The Jaguars are also an offense that wants to be able to lean on the run game, and there has been an added emphasis this offseason on that phase of the game after an inconsistent end to the 2025 season in the ground game.
That said, one potential concern if you are going to rely on Tuten heavily this fantasy football season is that by all accounts, we will see, to a degree, a committee approach at the running back position for the Jaguars, not unlike the what the Tampa Bay Buccaneers did in 2024 under Liam Coen.
Also in the mix for RB1 snaps are Chris Rodriguez and LeQuint Allen, who will have a role as well, particularly on passing downs.
All three of these players will factor into the Jaguars’ plan at running back, but what exactly that distribution looks like remains to be seen. Matchups and riding the hot hand could dictate weekly workloads.
